Bergen is home to the largest gingerbread town in the world!
More than 2000 buildings made of gingerbread – that’s quite a lot of work. Every year in Bergen, Norway, people build a huge village made entirely out of gingerbread.
Mulled wine, the smell of cinnamon and the scent of gingerbread… Well, who doesn’t get their mouths watering?
Then off to Norway! Because there is an abundance of gingerbread in the largest gingerbread town in the world.
Since 1991, many kindergartens, schools, companies and numerous private individuals have contributed to Bergen being able to present the world’s largest and most beautiful gingerbread town every Christmas.
