Day 4:
Today was all about the big New Year’s Eve fireworks at midnight. It was beautiful: the fireworks lasted about 15 minutes, with incredibly beautiful effects. At Rådhuskaia there were several thousand people to watch the fireworks. But it was absolutely peaceful, no drunks or rioters. It was not thrown into the crowd with firecrackers, as is unfortunately the case in Germany. It was really very pleasant.
Day 5:
Since the night was very long yesterday, I have no plans for New Year’s Day. However, the weather forecast predicted light cloud cover, and that meant a spectacular sunset was to be expected. That’s why I went up to the Ekebergpark around 3pm. From there you have a great view to the west over the Oslofjord. Perfect for sunsets. And it was really worth it … see pictures on the right 🙂
